New here from VA
Hi All,
I did the BC (the last time) on July 4th of last year, that gives me about 8 months natural. I am really gray, with a lot of thin spots. As a cancer survior (02), I think my meds have some play in this. When I cut I went all the way down, I was holding on good for a time and broke down and colored it. WHY! It was a small set back because I really want it natural and healthy, and it made my hair feel really dry and it fadded really quick. Next step was to band it (like when streching for lenght) and do crochet braids. My gray is very hard to cover, I don't care execept that it has a strange pattern to it. Small patches of full black, lots of gray roots black ends and full gray in patches in the front. So it didn't look cared for, just yucky. I read about henna & indigo for natural coloring and got super excited! I jumped through hoops to get some henna, but had to order the indigo online. Well, I couldn't wait for the indigo and I was willing to be red for a little while so I did the henna thing last night. OMG! I had much more gray than I had realized, and the henna did what it was supposed to do. I got carrott orange in front, lots of pretty burgendy highlites in the rest. My hair does feel thicker, this should be fun to deal with. Once I can get the indigo in, the braids are gone.
