Re: hair frustrations !!!!
I had the same problem with my hair. I BC'd and just wore sew-ins. Then this year my skin disease made me start taking care of my hair. I have the same grade of hair, I think. My beautician, who is also natural, made me start taking care of my hair because I had so much and it was all natural. With our coarse hair we have to keep our bodies hydrated. Meaning you have to drink lots and lots and lots of water. So that your scalp can stay hydrated. Also what type of products are you using on to deep condition and co-wash? Products sold in the beauty supply is NOT for us naturals. Creme of Nature shampoo and those other "ethnic" products are not made for natural hair. You shouldn't be using anything with alcohol in it. I do like the Cantu line of products though. This natural thing is about finding out what works best for your hair. I use a variety of things on my hair. Whole Foods has a line called African Shea Butter.... It can get very grimy but it is what I used to define my curls. It turns Kinky hair into Curly hair. Now it isn't going to give you wet n wavy hair but it will bring out your curl pattern. Another thing is you should be backing up all products with oil (not grease). Using oil will help keep your hair hydrated as well.
Hope that helped

Re: hair frustrations !!!!
Try de tangle your hair in smaller sections while your hair is damp and i spray my hair with a mixture of olive oil and water in the morning and at night. Another thing I did is wear my hair in proctective styles so i was not constanly combing it eveyday plus it keep you hair from being tangled up.

2. section my hair and apply shea moisture deep treatment masque
3. put my hair in 12 twists
4. put on a shower cap and go to bed

This is some good information. I am definitely going to try this because I have dry hair problems. I will see how this works for me on a nightly basis!!!
Thanks Chocolate

You need to oil your hair really well and massage you scalp often. This will help you increase the blood circulation in your scalp making your hair healthy and preventing it from falling and breaking. Please dont use heat on your hair and include a lot of protein in your diet. Use conditioner after every wash and preferably a leave in conditioner.
