Good Morning from LA
Good Morning Naturalistas,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Sonja from LA. I've been natural for over 6 months and I BC'ed December 17, 2010 (my 6 month annivae. I love my natural hair. I love my TWA. :-) Though I have to admit that the lady who cut my hair cut off too much. I had 6 months of new growth and left the salon with less than an inch of hair all around but in 2 weeks it's growing back stronger and healthier.
The reason I've joined this forum is to gain insight on caring for and styling (when possible) my TWA as it grows. Any and all help is appreciated. For those who type hair, I would say that my hair is 4a/4b.

Re: Good Morning from LA
Welcome and congrats on your BC! There are a lot of stylying options for TWA's on YouTube and we have quite a few other ladies with shorter hair that will be glad to help Take a look around and be sure to visit the thread for those with Type 4 hair :-)

Hey Sonja!
Nice to meet you. I love your enthusiasm for your TWA, thats the best way to be.
Hows the weather out there in LA??
As far as the cutting, she may have been trying to make it even all around and if your hair grows like most of us, some sections will have 3 inches in 6 months, while others will only have 1 or 2.
Make sense?

Hi Janelle and thanks bigGirlbigHair for the advice,
The weather out in here is cool. I wish it could be like this all year long. No humidity and no hurricanes.
I wanted to ask a question. Though my TWA is an inch or so is cowashing my hair daily or every other day too much? I wonder that I'm damaging it. I use KCCC for my TWA for hold, moisture, and curl definition. I'll check your natural hair journey and see what products you used again for advice.

Re: Good Morning from LA
When I first BC'd I cowashed everyday, but that worked for me. Try it out and see how your hair responds to it. I can't imagine your hair not loving all the water, but see how it responds to the frequent use of conditioner.
