Hello Everyone!
I am new to the site and just wanted to give a brief introduction of myself. For starters, I have been natural for almost four months now! I did the big chop in October 11' and I'm enjoying the experience thus far. This is my 2nd time going for the natural look/lifestyle. I "big-chopped" in the late 90's as well, but that only lasted for about 6 months and I converted right back to a relaxer . I have gotten some varied responses since I transitioned this time. My husband and two daughters, who are 11 and 8, absolutely love it! And I get mixed responses from other family members and strangers (but who cares right?) It's great to learn how to manage my natural hair and embrace the texture just the way it grows out of my scalp. I wash-n-go as of now and kind of do a coiled look by using various products (curl enhancing smoothie, kinky curl curling custard, and sometimes eco-styler) Yes I have already become a product junkie trying to figure this thing out lol! Oh and I believe my hair is 4a texture. Looking forward to learning and sharing with you guys! Have a good one!
