Protective Styles
Ok ladies,
My hair has been out for a few months now and now I think it is time for it to have a break. I need some ideas for easy to do protective styles that I can do myself or with a friend!

Re: Protective Styles
Try a roll, tuck and pin style or two strand twists and then pin them up in different ways for a new style every day.

Re: Protective Styles
@Marlies - Yes you have tons of options! I have lots of hair tutorial videos that you may like.
Re: Protective Styles
My hair is currently twisted up. I did them too small so my planned updo (inspired by J lol) is not looking good. i need to make my twists fatter/fuller.

Thats the style I'm rocking! I have a head band on with it (as shown in todays Hair of the day video). In the moisture video I made yesterday you can see me parting a section to see how fat they were.

Ahh you're great. Going to check it out now!
Re: Protective Styles
Just checked it out, you make me want to wash my hair and re do the twists lol. I'm just gonna rock these and then do a twistout and wait til my regular wash day on Sunday and do my twists like you showed. It never dawned on me to twist them in the opposite direction for the updo. Thanks!

Eso mismo/same thing #spanglish lol you know what I meant. Well I know what I meant but didnt say it right lol
Re: Protective Styles
Haha, no I wasnt saying that you didnt say what I said.
I was saying that you didnt pay close attention when you watched the twist tutorial because you said you didnt realize you should twist in the opposite direction.
But in the tutorial I made it a big deal so that you would know to twist them going towards the front so that when you pin them back you have the big bump aka volume. LOL I also say not to pull them but to leave them plump to add volume.

lol she starts it
To answer your question, protective styles arent just for cold weather, they are also great for retaining length. These styles are no/low manipulation and that helps keep your hands out of it.
