Big Chop Regimen
Hello Ladies!
Would you all be willing to share with me what your daily or weekly hair regimen was when you first started? I've been trying to google it and such but I only find what I'm looking for after the hair has grown for a few months.
I'm in danger of becoming a product junkie, I can feel it! lol.
I have been using water on my hair more often like I read. I also started using extra virgin olive oil...? I hope that's ok. My hair is very dry and seems to suck up the olive oil as soon as i put it on there. Good sign or bad sign? I just saw the Kimmaytube video and I'm going to start doing that too, along with trying some coconut oil and sweet almond oil on my hair. See what I'm saying? I think I'm wanting to do to much to my hair already.
Please give me your thoughts on this, since you've been here before

Re: Big Chop Regimen
I don't think you're doing too much. I'm pretty new to this also, but I put all of those oils that you mentioned in my hair. I see you live in NY, I'm in MD. It's cold, so the hair is going to dry out from the lack of humidity. I actually have a mixture that I use of Sweet almond, coconut, olive, and shea butter (melted). I use that mixture morning (sometimes noon), and night. It seems to be working for me. I also pour a little of my mixture into a spray bottle and mix it with some water and honey. Who knows if I'm doing too much, but my hair seems to appreciate it!!

Oh good thank you. I thought I was doing too much to soon. How do you portion your honey to water ratio? I've heard of people using honey like that but was scared of the stickiness to try. Would you please share that with me?

Re: Big Chop Regimen
hey,
guess you have already developed your regimen now
I did my BC in Jan and put it in a weave afterwards cause it was still too cold to walk around with my hair.so now that it´s out I had the same problem like you had first.so I developed my own regimen and started my hair diary to make sure that I can tell which products work and which don´t
so my regimen is like that wash my hair every 2 days
in the morning I put my water+aloe vera juice in my hair first massage it in,then I follow with my olive+coconut oil and then seal with my hollywood beauty castor oil ....
I was thinking about putting some tea tree oil in my water aloe vera mix but I don´t know if that´s too much then and if I´m already doing too much lol
maybe you ladies can advise me now
well all I can say is my hair is looking healthy and shiny so far and it is really soft....my boyfriend can´t resist touching it ....feel like a mama when I keep saying stop or don´t touch! lol
funny but most of all loving it
