Chop or Not to chop
Hello, how is everyone? I really need help on what to do with my hair!! I had wanted to go natural for a few years now but recently decided to follow through. I had my last relaxer February 12, 2011 but it only took on the front section of my hair. So I said that's it...no more relaxers for me. I began to do research on naturalism....great idea transitioning without the BC (don't know if I'm ready to face me w/o hair) After finding KCCM and viewing videos I was like I think I can do this. I cut abt 3 inches off my hair all round, after noticing the left was considerably shorter than the right. I got kinky twists, wore them abt a month using shea butter as moisture, and decided to BC in September. I started doing more conditioning, avc, shea butter, Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey, olive oil...etc. My hair started feeling dry and very brittle after the take down. I thought maybe its the way I'm applying product. I watched the video and made sure my hair was wet when applying but still dry and brittle. I'm out of shea butter but still have olive oil, carrot oil, mimosa hair honey.....still feels like I've haven't put a drop of anything in my hair, can you say tumbleweed. Not to mention it's shedding and I have a small thin spot (blood pressure meds). Please help me...advise me...Should I just start over and bc OR can this be fixed? Should I chop off all the relaxed hair and leave the natural hair? Help......!
Warmest regards,
Bleu

Re: Chop or Not to chop
I personally will not do the BC right now. As for the Products I will change them it could be making yr hair dry. Finding the right product is a Journey within itself and expensive. Do the ACV Rinse it will defently stop the shedding.

Re: Chop or Not to chop
The braids might be making your hair thin. Sometimes our scalps are allergic to the hair no matter how much we pay for it. I know braids and kinky twists are convenient but the tension from the braids can tug on your hair follicles (sp) which can damage them.
